Dolphy Dies at 83 on July 10, 2012

The King of Comedy, Rodolfo "Dolphy"  Vera Quizon, Sr. has rumored last week to be dead and people were spreading tweets on Twitter with the hash tag #RIPDolphy.  This time, it's happening again (as of this writing at 9:22 PM).  Still I haven't found any reliable sources that he is already dead.

Update: So sad to learn this news from ABS-CBN and confirmed that Dolphy is already dead.  May you rest in peace.  You brought laughter to every household!

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise Split After 5 Years of Marriage

I am shocked to read the news about Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise split.  I thought there was a third party involved but I found out that the reason was weird.

The reason Katie Holmes filed a divorced because of Tom Cruise's belief in Scientology.  I can't explain to you what it means because I have no idea.

Katie is just concerned with her daughter, Suri and she doesn't want her daughter to be dragged to the church.

Here is the video of Tom Cruise with Scientology. I still don't understand what he was talking on the video.

My Amnesia Girl Trailer

Just this afternoon, I went to my Facebook and found this video from You Tube.  I re-shared this video and a lot of my FB friends liked it.  All I can say with the video is "Hindi tayo tao! Bagay na bagay! :)"

At first, I thought it was Bea Alonzo that usually paired up with John Lloyd Cruz but it's Toni Gonzaga.  A narrator introduced a question, "Naalala mo pa nung una kayong magkita?" then it was seconded by, "Naalala mo pa ba nung nagkakadevelopan na?", the third, "Naalala mo pa ba nung kayo na?" and the last, "Eh siya?"




When the trailer was done, I conclude that John Lloyd Cruz and Toni Gonzaga are a cute pair.  I never thought that they could have a cute chemistry.  Well, because the story is more on romantic-comedy.  My first impression of the movie, it reminded me of the 50 First Dates but it is not early to judge since the two characters in the story started as strangers, became friends and fell in love with each other.  We still don't know how the story goes when the girl will be having her amnesia.
Honestly, I keep on repeating the trailer because I could relate some of the situations (not the amnesia part). With the questions asked by the narrator in the trailer (4th question not included), I can't help but smile.  Throwing corny joke or dialogue is a good way of flirting only if the guy is as cute as John Lloyd Cruz (tehee ^_^).  I would gladly throw back corny jokes to him just what like Toni Gonzaga did.
I like it when they were on the church when Irene thanked God for Apollo (burger and French fries were also our first snack date).  I love it when Irene smelled the t-shirt of Apollo.  I love it when Apollo squeezed the cheek of Irene and kissed her.  I love it when Irene was riding at the back of Apollo.  All these things stated on the paragraph has significance with my love life too. 

Willie Revillame Apologized To ABS-CBN

Willie Revillame already realized his mistake and apologized to the management of ABS-CBN for his bad conduct happened on May 4, 2010 and for the failure report to work on May 5, 2010. It is also official that he is taking an indefinite leave of the show Wowowee but he still have to honor his contract and obligations to the said network station. He is not also allowed to do similar job for other networks. He also said that his health was really affected because of the long hours he spent on the show daily. He developed a heart blockage that would be a threat to his life. He said that is now the time to take care of his health.

Baby James Chanted Villar on Noynoy's Campaign Rally

Manny Villar thanked Baby James Aquino-Yap for an unexpected endorsement. Baby James is the son of Kris Aquino and the basketball player James Yap and nephew of the Senator, Noynoy Aquino for running the Presidency.

Kris Aquino said sorry to his brother and sisters for the naughtiness of Baby James who she fondly called as Bimby. She stated, “Hay naku, ang ka naughty-han ni Bimby! Talagang heaven's way of making me feel all I did before to stress Mom. True, he said "Veeyar" in Bacolod rally. Nag naughty siya kasi 10th event namin that day- pagod na. Bimby is sikat so nasa news,”

All I can say, Baby James is indeed naughty!

Angelica Panganiban as Rubi

Rubi is a Mexican telenovela on 2004 played by Barbara Mori (see image at the right) and was a really big hit in the Philippines. She is very beautiful and very seductive woman. I love the plot of the story and watched the telenovela from the beginning until the end.





Lots of foreign telenovelas were adapted by ABS-CBN from Korea and Mexico. I was thinking if Rubi will be having its version. Now, it's already possible and I am excited about it. It will be played by Angelica Panganiban (see image at the left) for this year of 2010. The character really suits her. I remember when she played as Scarlet dela Rhea of Iisa Pa Lamang and she's really an effective contra bida. This time, it's Angelica's time to shine.

Showtime is Back for Tomorrow

Showtime was replaced temporarily by MAGPASIKAT with the same hosts and staff. Before the show ended, the director of the show, was handling a brown envelope. The madlang sikat and the hosts were shouting and excited what's inside the envelope. After that, they formally announced that for tomorrow, Showtime is back. The hosts and the madlang sikat are very happy for the good news and I'm sure the televiewers are also glad for the returning of the show.

ABS-CBN's Showtime Suspended for 20 Days

Happy New Year by the way! Hahaha! What a late greeting here in the Opinions of a Young Lass. Happy Sinulog to all Cebuanos out there and to all visitors who are coming to Cebu.

I am saddened by the suspension of Showtime because of Rosanna Roces' remarkable statement against teachers on January 7, 2010. Actually I never watched it for I was at work at that time. When I went to youtube.com and searched for it, I was shocked with the words she uttered on her mouth.

There are some things that Osang, as people call her, got the point. But she should slowed down her words and think of what to say so as not to hurt others. That's the mistake that she had already done.

Aga Muhlach Talked about Governance under Arroyo Administration

This is a clip I've seen in YouTube. I am just curious about Aga Muhlach's opinion. This is a video clip from Straight Talk in 2007. The language used in this conversation is Filipino so I have translated it to English so that foreigners can understand what the conversation is all about. Please see below after the video.

TRANSLATION OF THE CONVERSATION

Host: It's very rare to happen that a showbiz personality and
respected actor talks about the real situation.

Aga Muhlach: Sometimes it's sad because even though how hard
you try to make for a living, how progressive we are making
to our life, but if you look around you, you may be weakened
because of your country. It's too much, but I am really affected.

It's really hideous to see around you, you may think, how will I
save if I have no place to stay for? You have a beautiful house,
a car, what will you do with those things if there are people killing
in front of you?

How will you go out? Where will you go, you have no well-ordered
place to go here in the country? In our place, I won't know, there
are lots of money circling around, you've heard, one hundred million
or billion that are kept and stole, why is this penetrated?

What I see in this country is deterioration. The appearance, the
service, all in all, is getting ugly and uglier.

own money.

Some are just playing blind, closing their eyes because they feel

I am going to vote, is my vote has got something to do? Even
though I will vote for this person, if they really want to win, their
money will do the move, not my vote.

I feel that, honestly, it's useless because whatever you do, the
people in the higher position, whatever they wish or do are still
their command. What I mean to say is, the people knew who were
stealing, who's doing evil but nothing happened. You are just watching it,
so what are you going to do now?

Ten years ago, what do Philippines looked like? Now, it's different.
What more for another ten years? Ten years from now, what will
Philippines look like? So, where are we now?

Host: They're angry, people feel bad about it?

Aga Muhlach: People feel bad about it, it is because they have
no money, they don't have the capability, they are insecure, they
can't move, they feel that nobody listens to them. What I mean
to say, example, people of 5,000 are having a rally. It's just
5,000 compare to the people who are really in poverty.

I still believe that there is God, of course. He will fix it. I still
believe in the law of karma. To those who are doing evil, I'm sorry.
To those who are in the position, you did nothing but only to
boast like you're wise.

Host: Say it, don't be shy, STEALING.

Aga Muhlach: I mean to say, enough! Have a little pity, just a
little bit, just 10% of the stealing, give it to the poor.

Philippines has a huge land. Now, for sure, the government owns it.
I just want to imply, this government...

Host: All of the government, maybe they will mistaken you that
you're talking about a particular administration...

Aga Muhlach: No, no, it's not, the whole, the governance. Yes,
what I mean to say, well, the person who is in the position. Even if it's
the past, the present and who ever will be the next. Who ever is in
the position right now, you were put there to fix the Philippines.

Host: You are obviously very frustrated...

Aga Muhlach: So why are you going to take this? There's load of
money, don't tell that there's no money, that's why people are
getting mad because you say it's poverty.

Willie Revillame Won't Run for 2010 Election

It is clear by now that Willie Revillame won't run for any position for the next year's election.

He said in an interview that he is thinking how can he give happiness to people like now that he is going to Las Vegas for a Wowowee tour especially to those people there who can't go home in our country. He also said that if there's time, may be not now, maybe someday, maybe after three years, maybe after six years, it depends.

Good thing that he listened to Dolphy's advise.

The Reason Why Maricar Reyes Never Said a Word about the Scandal with Hayden Kho

After the outbreak of Katrina Halili's scandal with Hayden Kho, Maricar Reyes remains silent until now. With her success as an actress, with tv guestings on May Bukas Pa, an episode with Maalaala Mo Kaya and one of the supporting actors on Lovers in Paris, she became popular as ever.

I have the reason why Maricar never say a word about the leaking of the video (unlike Katrina who wants Hayden to have his license remove as a doctor). I saw a video that was rumored as the third video sex scandal with Hayden. It was on the sala and I believed that Maricar has the knowledge about capturing a video of her while they were doing the thing.

Dolphy's Advise to Willie Revillame in Entering Politics

Willie Revillame is the host of the number one noontime show of ABS-CBN which is Wowowee. I am a viewer and enjoy the show so much. His live audience really love him. We saw that a fan made a poem for him how she really idolize Willie.

In this coming election, Sen. Manny Villar is waiting for the confirmation of Mr. Wowowee to be his running mate as vice-president or as one of his senators. Willie is very active joining the senator on his projects, nowadays.

Dolphy, the Comedy King, advised Willie that if possible, he should not join the dirty tricks of politics. He also said that Willie had given too much happiness and help to the people. He should continue this in the entertainment world and no need for being vice-president or senator.

Dolphy is right. Willie should listen to him. We all knew that Willie is living in controversial life and giving happiness to people is admired enough. Also he should listen to his daughter, Meryll, who told him not to get involved politics.
